Forty eight swimming coaches obtained level one pass at the Swimming coaches training course conducted by Sri Lanka Aquatic Coaches Association (SLACA) and held on November 7 to 9 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium Conference Hall. The course was approved by the National Amateur Aquatic Sports Union of Sri Lanka.

The level two and three coaches training course will be held on December 2 and it will be conducted by a FINA nominated official. The forty eight coaches who got through the level one course will face a practical and theory test organised by SLACA. The coaches with top marks qualify for the course to be held on December 2 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

Lionel Weerasinghe (Course Director), E. G. A. Wilson (President SLACA), J. A. S. Somachandra (Technical Advisor SLACA), R. G. Jayasinghe (Treasurer SLACA), P. P. R. Silva (Vice President SLACA) and C. K. Bamunuarachchi (Secretary SLACA) were the lecturers at the course held last week.
