Abans goes aesthetic in 2005 calendar

Abans, synonymous with world's leading brands in electronic and household appliances, has ventured out to surf the talents of young school going age groups through their own creative productions. The creative art is to be gathered from the under 12-age group, through a competition. The winning entries will then adorn the Abans 2005 calendar.

Furthermore, the talent search is not restricted to only painting and drawing but to photography, as well which is another growing interest among local children. It is worth noting that our children have grabbed many international awards over the years in these aesthetic fields.

'The Beauty of Nature' has been the chosen theme. It is quite evident that the children through their school movements and societies do actively take part in environment-conservation programs. Thus, it is anticipated that this theme will draw a lot of interest.

Participants are expected to produce their paintings on an area of 32 cm (w) x 42 cm (ht) or a 5"x7" photograph, to any of the Abans showrooms islandwide. It has to be endorsed by their school principals along with personal details. The closing date for the competition is September 15.

The three winners whose productions will be featured in the calendar will be rewarded with certificates of merit in addition to trophies.

This is another innovative idea by the company, which has always been aware of the local aesthetic talents and skills, to bring them to the open via competitions and program, encouraging participants with due rewards of great value.

Abans is also 'Art' conscious and the products they bring include apparatus that have not only that functional versatility but also those which enhance the surroundings to suit the lifestyles adopted by the customers. In the latest models, be it an airconditioner, refrigerator, water purifier, or even a TV, eco-friendly components are to be found.

Known as the home for the world's leading brand range in these appliances in Sri Lanka, Abans has its own environmental unit, working hand in hand with Municipalities and Urban councils islandwide.
