A creative debut CD

A laudable solo effort by guitarist/vocalist Lalith Gunasekera, is the release of his debut CD Nadi Nadi. One time lead guitarist of the groups Zambesi, Monsonic, Claude and the Sensations, and Rhythm Knights, Lalith is now a full time teacher of the guitar, having established his L.G. Music Bureau Mount Lavinia.

"I started teaching music in 1965 and was keen on composing songs with a view to releasing a CD.

It took sometime for my effort to get off the ground but now that I've achieved it I hope music lovers will enjoy it. I was responsible not only for the music, lyrics, and arrangements, but also for the recording of all the tracks for the CD" expresses a friendly Lalith.

Nadi Nadi contains seventeen tracks. The first track is a catchy duet Nadi Nadi the title track sung by Lalith and Nadisha, with a solo track Obata Thurula Ma a love song sung by young Dilini Mataraarachchi, who could be a leading voice in the future if she pursues her singing. Some of the other interesting tracks are: Andura Medin, Ma Liwuwa, Obey Ethin Ethata. The CD is a good, creative one for your shelf.
