PBDA calls for information on tsumani-affected members by Rohan Mathes Pramuka Bank Depositors' Association President Palitha Gamage appeals to the general public and its membership to supply relevant information on any Tsunami affected members. Gamage told the 'Sunday Observer' that he was anxiously awaiting news from its tsunami-affected members who were already rendered destitute due to the sudden closure of the defunct Pramuka Bank two years ago, in order to assist them in any possible manner. "We have received information about five depositors and their families, residents around Moratuwa and Panadura areas, who have lost all their movable and immovable property, including their documents and clothing. According to our records, there is reason to assume that there are many more who may have lost the same", he opined. All such information could be submitted to the Association at No. 29A, Ananda Balika Mawatha, Pitakotte, Kotte. Tel. 0712365064. "The Association proposes to hold its next meeting on February 6, at the 'Gurugedara', Kollupitiya. The court case and decision pertaining to the liquidation of the bank, was postponed for January 26 and 27 in the Appeal Courts, Room No. 10", Gamage added. |
