The new unified English publication of all Thripitakas of the Theravada Buddhism that have been in use in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and Sri Lanka would help propagate the Dhamma among the international community as English is widely spoken in many parts of the world. A team of members of the Thai Thripitaka Committee presented a manuscript of this issue which they compiled for over five years to President Kumaratunga when the visiting group met the latter during their tour in Sri Lanka last year. The meeting for the Maniratne Bunnag Buddhist Society represented by several members of the Royal Family of Thailand under the patronage of Thailand Sangharaja His Holiness Somdet Psra Mana was coordinated by Sri Sambodhi Viharadhipathi Ven.
