US $ 23m from India The Indian government has pledged an outright grant of US$ 23 million for project related tsunami work, the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka said. The First Secretary Sanjay Sudhir told the Sunday Observer that specific areas such as fisheries, health sector and the uplift of Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs) have been identified by the Sri Lankan government as those qualifying to receive the said grant.
