Beloved wife of Chitral Peiris, loving mother of Dr Maheshinie (Castle Street Hospital), Heshani (St. Sebestian's Girls' School),  loving mother-in-law of N.M.D. Nawarathne (Ministry of Constitutional Affairs and National Integration), loving grandmother of Baby Lumini, expired. Cortege leaves residence No. 07, 8th Lane, Rawathawatta (next to Prasanna Motors), Moratuwa at 4.30 p.m. on Monday 5th September. Cremation at Rawathawatta Cemetery.

Janaza took place on 26th August 2005 at Kuppiyawatte Muslim Burial Ground. The members of the family thank all those who attended the funeral and sent messages of condolence.
