HP Premium Business partners felicitated

Hewlett-Packard, a global leader in many cutting-edge products such as business portables, business desk tops, imaging and printing products and midrange and high-end servers, recently brought together top management and business partners at an event held to recognise the partners' contribution in the organisation's rapid growth.

HP Premium Business Partners consisting of CEOs, Senior Managers and Sales Persons were felicitated at a two-day convention at Amaya Lake Hotel Dambulla.

T. V. T. Chari, Vice President, PSG (SEA and Taiwan), the guest of honour highlighted the role played by the business partners in the organisation's business strategy. Partners have been an integral part in achieving the high growth rates HP has maintained, he said. Sri Lanka has been one of the fastest growth markets in the region for HP, influencing HP to strategically focus on Sri Lanka as a high potential market.

IDC research has revealed that HP is the market leader in personal computers and notebook computers in Sri Lanka.

Key Business Unit Managers for the AEC region including General Manager of Solutions Partners Organisation, Manager (VAEC) Prasenjith Sarkar, General Manager Imaging and Printing Group AEC Bob Ang, General Manager Technology Solution Group Steven Kim and other Managers from HP Singapore and HP Sri Lanka were present.

HP Business Partners and their Sales persons were recognised for their outstanding performance that helped to take HP to greater heights in 2005.

This was also the first time a global giant in IT has held an event on such a grand scale in Sri Lanka.
