Five boxers in Pakistan

Five boxers from Sri Lanka are presently in Karachi, Pakistan for the Green Hill Invitation Championship which concludes on Friday. It got under way yesterday.

Manju Wanniaratchi from Slimline, Harsha Kumara also from Slimline, Saman Indika Kumara also from Slimline and Kamal Sameera another reputed pugilist from the same establishment together with Gihan Weligalla from Army are now in Karachi.

They are being coached by R. K. Indrasena of Army with Major A. V. Pieris as manager, and were in a residential camp at Pannala under Cuban coach, George Lewis Prometha.

The ABA of Sri Lanka under Dian Gomes are also planning to stage a dual meet against Vietnam in Colombo before the South Asian Games next month.
