Dharmaraja Cricket foundation promotes the game

Dharmaraja College, Kandy celebrated the College centenary celebrations with their traditional cricket match with Kingswood College earlier this year.

In the long history of Dharmaraja College, the school can certainly be proud of Chamara Kapugedera who became the first Rajan cricketer to play for Sri Lanka.

However, before Kapugedera, there was Sonny Yatawara and T. B. Kehelgamuwa who had the privilege of playing for the National side before the country got Test status.

Dharmaraja College Cricket Foundation is promoting cricket at the college in a big way for the past five years and as a result the cricket has improved tremendously and some very good cricketers are being produced in the under 15 to under 19 age groups.

The Cricket Foundation has donated cricket material to the school worth Rs. two lakhs.
