Sonduru Wasanthe - a triangular love story

 Sonduru Wasanthe , a film by Roy de Silva has been screened in CEL
circuit from Thursday July 6. The film introduces the new producer
Ajanee Rita Perera who has also produced the teledrama Ashawaree, and
has completed work in a series featuring a Bangalore actress.
It also brings a new talented cast into the Sinhala cinema; Tharindu
Wijesinghe, Niroshan Wijesinghe and Mahinda Pathirage who plays as a
comedian. The story which is full of twists and turns was written by Roy
de Silva who has directed over 32 films, most of which were hits.
The story is woven around a poor boy who attends an International
school, thanks to his brother. The brother who works in a filling
station dreams of making a bright future for his brainy brother, at the
expense of his future. Sunimal though he comes from an impoverished
quarter of the town is the son of wealthy parents and leads a posh
life-style with his college mates.
He falls in love with the beautiful daughter of a rich businessman
who later discovers the real family status of the boy.
Culminating in a series of events, the boy marries the girl and the
film ends in a happy note. Aimed at the young audience, Sonduru Wasanthe
has all the ingredients of formula films of the early stage of Sinhala
cinema. Cast includes Chathurika Peiris, Tharindu Wijesinghe, Niroshan
Wijesinghe, Nirosha Weerasighe, Anarkhali Akarsha, Arjun Kamalanath,
Anusha Damayanthi, Nilanthi Dias, Mahinda Pathirage, Ajanee Perera,
Himali Siriwardena, Roy de Silva and Teddy Widyalankara.
Krrish: A legend revives

 Krrish, a sequel of Koi Mil Gaya also imported by Janitha Fims and
distributed by EAP films is now in cinemas. The Film is directed by
Rakesh Roshan and screen play was done by Rohit Bhatt and Sachin
Bhowmick.
The father-son combination is again come to life in a science fiction
movie where Hrithik Roshan plays as Krrish, son of Rohit (played by
Hrithik Roshan in the first film version-Koi Mil Gaya).
In Koi Mil Gaya, an Indian scientist creates a super computer with an
ability to communicate with aliens. However, he is killed in a car
accident before he reveals his invention. His pregnant wife who narrowly
escapes the death brings forth her son Rohit. Rohit who is mentally
retarded with his friend Nisha accidentally contact aliens after
discovering the unique computer. In a twist, he is given superhuman
powers by an alien.
Krishna (Hrithik Roshan) is born with magical powers- an inheritance
from his gifted father, Rohit Mehra Priya (Priyanka Chopra) comes into
his life and becomes his world. Krishna grows up among the wilderness
befriending the wild animals and shows remarkable talents and performs
superhuman acts.
He meets with his soul-mate in an accident where a young beauty from
an enthusiastic group of explorers from the city crash-land in the woods
to be miraculously rescued by Krishna.
Krishna moves to Singapore in search of his love where he becomes
KRRISH to shatter the destructive dream of Dr. Siddhant Arya (Nasuruddin
Shah), the megalomaniac scientist who is on the verge of changing the
future forever.
