Making tourists 'Feel at Home'

‘Swift Fire’

Versatile is the word for these two young talented musicians, Janak Wijesundera a maestro on organ and Sampath Priyankara, a superb guitarist, a cousin combination who make tourists 'feel at home' at the Tree of life Hotel, Kandy.

Named as 'Swift Fire' these young musicians sing anything from local pops to Western oldies. The cousin combination began their musical career in 1996 at the Grand Hotel Nuwara-Eliya. Since then they have been 'big hits' at a number of tourist hotels, including Nilaweli Beach Hotel, Trincomalee, Hotel Topaz, Kandy, Citadel Hotel, Kandy, and Habarana Lodge. At present 'Swift Fire' are featured five days a week at the Tree of Life - from Wednesday to Sunday at dinner time, providing scintillating music to tourists.

Janak Wijesundera on organ and Sampath Priyankara on guitar make a perfect musical combination, singing in a number of foreign languages.
