Belgian week from October 25 - 27:
Trade Mission here to explore investment
Belgium is one of the best trading partners of Sri Lanka (second
place in the Sri Lankan import statistics amongst the countries of the
European Union with a total value of 189.44 million Euro).
The Consulate of Belgium will show its commitment in strengthening
the business relationships between the two countries by organising a
trade mission the Belgian Week 2006 from October 25 - 27 including a
visit of Belgian post-tsunami projects and a recreational exploration of
the Sri Lankan south coast on October 28 and 29, 2006. Several Belgian
companies will be visiting Sri Lanka to explore partnerships, ventures,
trade relations and investment opportunities.
The trade delegation from Belgium consists of companies active in the
sectors of interior design, tourism, food & beverage, electrical
equipment, construction and infrastructure and many others.
Apart from the visiting delegation, a catalogue exhibition of more
than 30 companies will be freely accessible from October 25 to 27 at the
European Chamber of Commerce from 9:30 to 16:30.
During the Belgian Week 2006 various seminars and events have been
organised.
