up his maiden five wicket haul as Sri Lanka cruised to an easy nine
wicket victory over the West Indies in their International Cricket
Council Champions Trophy Mini World Cup last qualifying round match at
the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai here on Saturday.

Drug testing at Rugby Asiad in Colombo for first time
Anti-drug control methods will be adopted for the first
occasion in Sri Lanka where rugby is concerned at the 20th Singer Asian
Championships to be staged in Colombo from November 17 to 25 where games
are to be played at three venues - Longden Place, Sugathadasa Stadium
and Royal College Sports Complex.

Commonwealth Gold Medallist Chinthana in Melbourne for further training
Sri Lanka’s weightlifter Chinthana Vidanage (25) who won a
gold medal for his country after 12 years at the Commonwealth Games in
Melbourne, Australia in March this year, returned to the same city for
his second stint of a scholarship offered by the Sri Lanka Cricket
Association “down under” for a three-month period. He left the island
last week.
