Pillarless Ballroom at Galadari

The 'Grand Ballroom' of the Galadari Hotel, was opened recently after a massive refurbishment. It is the largest "Pillarless Ballroom" in Colombo.

The refurbishment saw the ballroom equipped with some of the latest features and modern facilities. The high ceiling, carpet and wall paper make it one of the most elegantly designed ballrooms with "state of the art" sound systems and water feature in the pre function area.

The side doors which are 'roller doors' make it possible to bring in large vehicles - excellent for car launches and trade fairs.

Sliding doors separate the main ballroom, smaller or larger, depending on the type of function and the number of guests. The Grand Ballroom can be separated into three sections and are sound proof, making it an ideal venue for seminars, local / International conferences and meetings.

The ballroom is said to be the biggest ballroom facility catering to weddings accommodating up to 1250 guests with a seating capacity of 1000 guests 'theatre style' with the doors opening to the pre function area.

With an experienced, and elite, banquet team headed by Banquet Manager, Bernard Croos, functions will receive the very best in service and standards, a spokesman for Galadari Hotel said.
