Thiyumi, Sanka win triple crowns

Thiyumi Abeysinghe and Sanka Athukorale won the coveted triple crown each at the Fingara Open Tennis Championships at the Fingara Town and Country Club courts which was sponsored by Daintee (Pvt) Limited.

She won the Women's Singles beating Druvinka Moraes. Then partnered by Druvinka, Thiyami, won the Women's Doubles over Kaushalya Attygalle and Lahiri Soysa, while winning the Mixed Doubles with Sanka Athukorale beating Marissa Roy and Sivadharshan Sivaganeshan.

Athukorale won the Men's Singles title beating Aritha Hewakottage, the Men's Open Doubles with Dinusha Wijesuriya over Kaushal Wijewickreme and Pathivathan Tharumakularaj.

Druvinka Moraes won the Girl's Under-16 Singles over Himasha Weerawardene, while the Girl's Under-14 Singles was won by Dinushki Ranasinghe over Thilini Leeniyagolle with Dinushki winning the Girl's Under-12 Singles title from Indeevari Wijesekere.

In the Boy's events, Sanjay Senanayake won the Under-16 Singles over Thilina Chaminda, while Amresh Jayawickreme won the Under-14 title over Yasas Dewage with the Under-12 Singles title been won by Chinthaka Sheveen over Dulitha Mendis. The Under-16 Doubles was won by Sanjay Senanayake and Amith Weerasinghe over Thilina Chaminda and Manuja Chandrasekera.
