Four shuttlers off to Korea

A four member badminton team selected by the national selectors of the Sri Lanka Badminton Association, left the island to take part at the World Junior Badminton Championship in Seoul Korea.

The Sri Lanka squad comprises four school boys who excelled at the recently concluded All Island Age Group Championships 2006, conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association.

These boys are the 4 semi-finalists in the under-19 age category. Unfortunately the girls team could not make it to this tournament due to various reasons.
