Pressure to ban LTTE

Tremendous pressure has been brought on the Government to ban the LTTE for its atrocities after Friday's attempt to assassinate Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. Political parties,various organisations and individuals had contacted the Presidential Secretariat to urge the President to impose an early ban.
