'Move to increase capital of insurance companies a grave
concern'
The government is planning to increase the
capital of insurance companies in stages. This is a grave concern
for the industry. At present for each class of insurance the capital
requirement is Rs. 100 million and by 2012 the government plans to
increase it to Rs. 1 billion for each class.
