Claymore explodes in B'caloa

One civilian was killed and two others along with a Special Task Force personnel were injured in a claymore explosion in Kathankudy area in the Batticaloa district around 9 am yesterday.

The bomb went off while the STF men were engaged in a search operation. Four persons including a STF personnel were critically injured and one civilian succumbed to his injuries, Defence Information Centre reported.
