Antonians edge out Trinity

RUGBY: St. Anthony's managed to overcome Trinity by 14 points (1 try, 3 penalties) to 13 (2 tries, 1 penalty) in their schools rugby match at Pallekelle yesterday.

The Antonians led 8-3 at half time. Last year Trinity won 24-13 after the Antonians had reigned supreme for seven consecutive years.

Roshan Wijesiri turned out to be the match winner for the Antonians by scoring the solitary try and also firing across the three penalties.

For Trinity, Mohamed Jessel, scored both tries with Krishan Kirinde putting over the penalty.
