Tata Steel launched the Tata Steelium at Waters Edge yesterday.

Steelium offers superior product attributes, such as excellent
formability, flatness, surface quality, thickness consistency and
strength.
Tata Steel has been selling its products in the Sri Lankan market for
over 15 years. With time, Tata Steel's focus in Sri Lanka shifted from
transactional sales to relationship based sales to key accounts.
It is this long term focus that has allowed Tata Steel, to be a
Market Leader in the CRCA market in Sri Lanka over the past four years.
For this purpose Tata Steel set up a professional Distribution network
for its Cold Rolled Critically Annealed (CRCA) products with State of
the art service centre capabilities to meet the requirements of the
customer. The Customer base includes major Furniture manufacturers as
well as high end Panel producers.
Tata Steel is also a major player in the galvanised and specialty
wires business through its subsidiary M/s Lanka Special Steels.
To further facilitate this change in focus, in the year 2006, a
Liaison Office was set up in Sri Lanka. This ensured a smooth and
effective customer interface. Tata Steelium which was launched in 2003
in India, serves a wide spectrum of customers including the auto
ancillaries sector, the panel industry for electrical and telecom
applications, furniture industry and drums and barrel industry.
As partners in progress, Tata Steelium in Sri Lanka will offer its
valued customers, consistent supplies, differentiated products for
various applications, source credibility through Product branding and
facilitate continuous knowledge dissemination and sharing of good
practices to help the Sri Lankan CRCA market to competitively compete in
the Global market. |
