Singaporean Chi breaks women's discus throw record

Athletics: Singaporean Wan Lay Chi bettered the existing
women's discus throw record with a distance of 45.39 metres on the
penultimate day of the 85th National Athletic Championships and the 1st
Inter - District Novices Meet at the Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday. The
previous record was held by Padmananda Wijesundera in 2006 with a throw
of 44.65 metres.
Two records were established on the first day to make the tally three
records.
