Balanced regional growth vital for economic prosperity - CB Governor

Balanced regional development with macro and micro economic growth is essential for economic prosperity, said Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal.

He was speaking at a ceremony to launch the program to disseminate information on services provided by state banks through the Government Information Centre (GIC).

GIC which functions under the ICTA provides information on services provided by government institutions. Information on services provided by 10 state banks will be disseminated by GIC.

Information on banks will be confined to deposits, credit schemes, foreign exchange transactions, loan schemes implemented by the Central Bank and banking service clarifications.
