Lead free cables
For the first time in Sri Lanka:
The technology field is becoming increasingly advanced in Sri Lanka.
Now we do not have to depend on imported techno
products because Sri
Lanka is gaining more progress through researches and utilising
expertise knowledge in the techno field.
Moreover Sri Lanka is now preparing to expand its market to the
developed countries in Europe, Japan, UK, USA and many more.
Kelani Cables recently launched its latest invention to the market,
lead free submersible pump cables and welding cables.
Lead free submersible pump cable
The aim of this product is for safe drinking water because this cable
often comes in contact with water. Since lead is poisonous so when it is
mixed with water it can be hazardous to human health.
This cable can also be applied in irrigation and industrial projects,
mine dewatering, sewage treatment and so on. Submersible pump cables
will be able to deliver a lead-free PVC compound with total safety.
The submersible cable is guaranteed by quality assurance at every
step. The cable is completely lead-free and is resistant to water, oil
and moisture.
Product range
Round cable
The Kelani round submersible pump cable is designed for heavy-duty
applications that involve sludge and sewage dewatering pumps. The
outer-jacket of the cable is manufactured to withstand abrasion, prevent
water ingress while being resistant to chemicals and acids.
Flat Cable
Flat submersible pump cable is particularly designed for submersible
pumps in wells. The flat design of the cable helps to overcome
physically restrictive and hostile application environments. This cable
contains lead-free PVC to ensure safety of drinking water.
Welding cables
Fabricated for hand-held metal arc welding electrodes where high
current is generated during secondary connection. It is also used on
conveyor systems and on assembly lines in automatically operated line,
in machine tools and spot welding machines.
This has a high conductivity, bare annealed copper flexile conductor.
Covering consist of two layers with specially developed flexible
Elastomer.
Current rating
The maximum current ratings of flexible welding cables for different
duly cycles are based on an ambient air temperature of 30 degrees C and
a maximum conductor temperature of 90 degrees C. The percentage duty
cycles for processes such as automatic welding - up to 100 percent, semi
automatic welding 30 percent to 85 percent, manual welding 0 to 60
percent.
Voltage drop
If the cable length exceeds 15m, it is necessary to use cables of
larger cross section to ensure that the voltage drop is not excessive
and that the welding current is maintained at adequate levels.
This cable can be used in Transformers, Generators, Aircraft service
equipment, busbar connections, earthing/return leads, power feeds to
electrolytic planting processes. |
