New HC designate to Malaysia

Dr. D. D. Ranasinghe, former Chairman of the Board of Management of the Sri Jayawardhanapura Hospital has been appointed Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner designate to Malaysia.

He will take up the appointment shortly. Dr. Ranasinghe, a product of Galahitiyawa Central College, Ganemulla, won a scholarship to the USSR.

Thereafter he pursued his post-graduate medical studies in the United Kingdom specialising in surgery.
