I’m ready to continue with Jeyaraj’s vision - Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle

Jeyaraj did much for the nation but I didn’t know that people loved him so much. He did everything to help the people and always kept his promises. I’m ready to continue his vision, for the country with the people’s help said Sudarshani Fernandopulle, wife of the late Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle.

She was speaking at a ceremony to open a road in K. C. de Silva Housing Scheme, Katana, after being appointed Chairman of the SLFP Central Organisation for Katana.

Jeyaraj was a pillar of strength to the people of Katana and they admire his vision.

Though the LTTE succeeded in killing him, we should continue his vision. I am now ready to shoulder his burden and continue his good work. By overcoming challenges, I will try to do all what I can for the nation.

I hope all of you will give your fullest support to me. She said this road is not only for the people who live in Katana but for all who wish to use it. Jeyaraj was committed to build roads and bridges.
