Softlogic sponsor CR and FC

RUGBY: CR & FC needs an annual budget of Rs. 13.5 million and Softlogic Holdings (Pvt) Limited has come forward with a generous sponsorship package which solves half of their problems.

President of the CR, Ravi Balasuriya, said that this was a great morale booster for the team in their games of the Caltex League Rugby Championship which started last Friday and with players wearing the Softlogic logos on their jerseys will spur them on to greater heights this year.

This is the third year that Softlogic are sponsoring CR & FC, who were the runners-up in the Caltex League last season, but went on to win the Caltex Clifford Cup and President's Trophy.

This year, the red shirts are led by national poolist Shamil Mohamed, and the 35 players in the pool are contracted on a monthly allowance. (L.G.)
