Tharika Samanmali - Black Belt

KARATE: Tharika Samanmali (18 yrs) received her Black Belt for performing perfect techniques at a Karate Competition organised by the Adventurers Karate and Martial Arts Training Centre in Ambalangoda recently.

Veteran karate instructor Gamini Rupasinghe and Superior Instructor Sumith Ginige were the judges at the contest, where a large number of karate students performed.

Tharika Samanmali had already won first place Katha event in the Galle district in 2006.

She also won the Katha first place in 2007, and the Free Fighting in the same year, organised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
