National Vesak festival tomorrow

The national Vesak festival which is organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Department of Buddhist Affairs and the Anuradhapura District Secretariat will be held tomorrow at the Anuradhapura Shravasthipura Viharaya.

Over 500 people will observe sil on that day. Sil Redi (white clothes) will be donated. A Vesak Lanterns Competition will be held in dhamma schools in Nachchaduwa Divisional Secretariat and prizes will be presented for the best three lanterns.

A ‘Vesak Bathi Gee’ show will be held in all Shasanarakshaka centres in the Anuradhapura district and certificates will be presented all participants.
