Job opportunities for English educated and computer literate

Founder president of World Organisation for Research in Leadership and Development Trust, A. Vijeyakumar told the Sunday Observer, that President Mahinda Rajapaksa is determined to promote, education by introducing common objectives for all by encouraging the study of English according to option of people.

This he had said will eliminate ups and downs of people and also bring them together divorcing all conflicts.

Vijeyakumar meets number of rural and plantation English institutions owners and discussed the common project for English language development among poor people. He said President Rajapaksa having understood the importance of this language has stressed the need to have a fair knowledge of the English knowledge by all sections of people.

When questioned by a journalist Mr. Vijeyakumar had said he had said it was not his aim to promote the language but he was cautious that this language should not be the sole owner of a community or individual but it should be accessible to all not only English but all languages should be accessible to all when asked, how he could be a spokesman for public cause.

He answered at the age of 19 he recognised as the best scout and was awarded the Indian President Award. And thereafter he had worked in the mercantile sector of Tata Industries before graduating himself. World Trust Founder congratulated President Rajapaksa by introducing the above activity plan in Sri Lanka at the correct time.

The president had said that the economy of the country will improve. He had therefore introduced, “The Enhancement of job oriented English Language skills in the country at the initiative of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the enhancement of job-oriented English language program was recently officially launched at Galadari Hotel.

Both in Commercial and Mercantile sector English has become the basic language for communication and English he had said was used for its Mobility and credit transferability.

The president has felt that to improve local market dynamics, this cause of action is necessary said Sunimal Fernando, Co-ordinator, and governor of the Special Presidential Task Force on ‘English as a Life skill’, and advisor to the President.

It was also revealed, since English Language is fast progressing all people should join hands with all firms, BOI and others who are involved in promoting business.

World trust centre for better English and leading Indian organisations - Zeal: Speak Easy Centre for Better English, Green Books Learning solutions, Gerius Education Learning Systems (Pvt) Ltd, (GELS), VETA: (VetaCorp-Amoha Education Pvt Ltd, Esquare English Academy Pvt Ltd., Aspire Human Capital Management (P) Ltd., Sri Sanskar School of Etiquette and Career Development Pvt Ltd., Gateway 2uk Education (India office), Rayat and Bahra Institute of Leardership Training and Professional HR and Career Consultancy Services participated the above official launching function under BOI project. These organisations are to find out their local partners under BOI project.

When asked whether it is not possible to communicate in the Mother tongue, and that South India is too involved in the English language, he answered that Mother tongue is the best and be would not advocate against it. But English is an international language, it is easy to communicate in this on all matters relating to business.

He said that lot of job opportunities are available and proficiency in the English Language is essential to obtain these jobs. English is very essential he had said one need not be a graduate in English but should have the ability to work in English. He said in India people are giving training in English to achieve this objective since it would cost heavily to establish workshops.

Indian government has decided to coach, students in Computer science. We need students who could do digital clipping if students in Sri Lanka could possess this aptitude; there are ample job opportunities for them.
