MoU to promote caska products

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Coagent Company of the People's Republic of China and Sun Lanka Auto Traders (Pvt) Ltd who were appointed as the sole authorised agents for Caska products in Sri Lanka.

From its humble beginnings with three employees Sun Lanka Auto Traders had grown into a large company with over 100 employees in a short span. With a branch network at Narahenpita, Kandana, Kurunegala and Ja-ela, the company proposes to open more branches in Kandy and Galle in the near future.

The Chief Guest, the Minister of Petroleum and Petroleum Resources A.H.M. Fowzie said Sun Lanka Auto Traders has many achievements to its credit. The company was the pioneer in the field of security alarm systems for automobiles in the country.

Sun Lanka Auto Traders (Pvt) Ltd's Chairman Chan had donated 92 bus engines to the Government worth over Rs 52 million when he was Minister of Transport sometime ago.

The secret of their success was due to selecting innovative products and for providing an excellent service to their customers. He was glad that the company was appointed as the sole agent for Multimedia systems for cars.

Coagent Company's Overseas Sales Director for South Asia and Africa Mrs Shammy Deng, said the Coagent company was in Gundong province that manufactured security and alarm systems for cars.

In 2005, the company manufactured navigational and DVD systems for vehicles such as Toyota, Honda, Hundai and Volkswagen cars.

Sun Lanka Auto Traders (Pvt) Ltd's Chairman Chan Yang said with the help of their dealership network in the country, they will be able to market Caska products in the country.

Managing Director, Sun Lanka, Mrs Koshila Erathne thanked the Chinese Ambassador and Minister Fowzie and others for their support.
