threats
MR called newspaper publishers and editors for a meeting at the TT
Palace. When he inquired from editors whether they had received any
threats, a chief of a national Sinhala daily said he does not have any
threats from the G-ment, forces or anyone else but only from the 'one'
at home.
Hand-pattu fires
Doc Hand-pattu severely criticised Saa-Jeet, the love Slave's conduct
during a top level Elephant Party meeting. Hand-Pattu said Saa-Jeet
campaigns in a selfish manner and does not believe in team work, though
the ex Prez' son is the district leader. Saa-jeet was not present at the
meeting headed by the party leader.
Less power
Another 'reformist' group has emerged within the Elephant Party.
Unlike the previous group, they won't join the G-ment but would lead an
internal campaign to make their party real democratic. Their main aim is
to trim extensive powers currently enjoyed by the party leader.
Ageing beauty
Row-See, the ageing beauty was scared to be alone in her own vehicle
at the Elephant Party's hooting campaign that created traffic congestion
at Bamba. Hence, she jumped to the vehicle in front driven by Chan-Draa-nee
the Banda. But at the end, both ate humble pie.
Crocodile tears
Ra-Blue is now shedding crocodile tears for pressmen. But it was the
same leader who sent protesters to attack his uncle's publishing house
of 'our times' a few months ago after its Sinhala newspaper said rice is
available at Rs. 60 due to G-ment's efforts.
On the mat
Lucky Milk-Fall will soon be on the mat as initial investigations
have revealed that he had abused power when he was on the plantations.
Several raw deals, under which millions of rupees of state property were
abused during his time, would soon be exposed. Beware!
