A jumbo release

An enchanting herd of eight elephants went to the wilds leaving their foster home forever, to lead an independent life. This team, the 08th Batch of the 'Elephant Transit Home' was released to the Udawalawa park recently.

Minoli, Senani, Asha, Marga, Atlas, Nalaka, Tharos and Baby Blu e were the elephant youngsters who went out into the forest to strengthen the globally endangered Sri Lankan elephant. The world has only 4000 Sri Lankan elephants.

These little ones need your help to live securely and grow up making the mother nature proud of her treasures.

These pictures are for you to get a glimps of that heartfelt moment. (DY)
