For one, you'll need ten

I often read about sweet deceit
And often wondered why
One deceives another
With a disappointing lies

I often heard my mother said
'Never veil yourself behind lies'
For one, if you paved the way
A ten you'd need to cover a lie'

I often failed to weigh her words
The wisdom lost in air
Failed to see a lie would hurt
When I lied to you

I often shield my foolish acts
Justifying my deeds
to be born on nothing but truthful facts
But I have deceived none but myself

I often lied to myself I lost trust in me
Even to ones dearest to me
They too trust in me

I often thought what I think is right
Determined it's how the world should think
I was blind when it's the truth I despised
On fictitious pillars my world I have built

I often turned to you in despair
A deceitful facade I have been
In a gruesome way you have spared
Myself from a lying person

I, sit back to think
Values of a life that has flee
My soul un masked, my eyes glint
Towards a life of a truthful me

King coconut tree in a dream

I marvelled and stood in bewilderment
When it was dark and raining
When all at once I saw a tree
A golden kingcoconut tree
Beside the paddyfield, near cannal
Moving and shaking in the breeze

The wind blew high and
Its fronds were waving up in the sky
Oh! it's getting too dark,
It's the time for the birds
To fly their nests,
Thunder and lightning tore asunder
The peaceful nature,
The rain drops fell
On top of its stately feathers
And made the day mysterious

I stared and stared and some
Thoughts came to my mind
The king coconut tree stands
steady in inclement weather
Its roots are strong like our ancestors,
Its trunk is solid like our great grandparents,
Its sprouts are like our parents,
Its fronds are like our children,
Thousands of blooms appear like our unborn children,
The kingcoconuts are like our grandchildren....

It's a unique scene,
That's vividly emblazoned in my heart,
Yet, it's so inspiring
Like reading a verse in a novel
I wish if it would be a recurring
dream today and forever......

It's an enigma

Life is a puzzle
No one to explain.
Ya I'm not a child
But why I can't Understand?

It aches without a wound.
Let me feel this babe..
Let me fly to my angel.
whom need to be my guardian angel throughout my life.

A lonely tree asking me to sit under his shadow,
Dark sky is looking at me to check where have been.
But life is a puzzle which cannot be solved,
It even aches with no wound...

Come to me and look at my naked eyes.
Hold me tight ,never let me go away.
You are the answer for my life's puzzle,
Help me to solve this with no pain...

Hard to forget your rudeness babe.
I need the rough lips which talked to me loud.
Hard to forget your sweetness babe,
I need innocent heart which always goes deep into my eyes.

My god, it aches with no wound.
I can neither sleep nor stay awake.
I'm just dying without my angel,
But still it is a puzzle.

The person I'm looking for is not you.
But still I need you. You made my life bright.
you made me need you more and more.
Come to me babe, don't hurt me any more.

Gosh! My meal...!

Gliding above the trees in the forest
I can even see the humming bees.
When I'm in the light blue sky,
I'm sure the others can easily spy.

Once I saw, on a huge branch,
A thing which I thought would be yummy to munch.
From above it looked like a shiny ball,
From below I could not see at all.

I landed on a twig and flapped my wing,
Balancing so that the twig won't swing.
Little by little I crept to the peak,
To grab my meal I opened my beak.

Oh! Gosh! An armadillo it was!
And I screeched with all the might.
What a poor little toucan I was,
To lose my meal with such a fright...!

Hey terrorist!

(Dedicated to all who died from the bomb blast occurred in Moratuwa and Kandy)

On a gloomy evening,
The 'destroyer' made a huge destruction,
lifeless bodies were scattered..
all over.
Hot blood oozed from the veins
and dripped on the floor,
The destruction occurred again.
blasting the land into pieces.
ripping and tearing the flesh apart;
even before the dead were buried
Hey terrorist!
This is infact, your destruction
Because,
The world you are seeking, is...
already lost.

Where is my happiness?

If my Happiness is my Love
I lost it...
If My Happiness is my Smile
I lost it
If My Happiness is my Peace
I lost it
If My Happiness is my Talents
I lost them
If Happiness is my Words
I lost them
If my Happiness is My Breath
I lost it
If my Happiness is my Laugh
I lost it
If My Happiness is You
I lost You
If My Happiness is My Dreams
I lost them
But my Happiness is not my Tears...
I didn’t lose it them...
