Senior journalist Ihalagama dies

Well known Sinhala journalist Wimalasena Ihalagama passed away on Friday (27). He was a senior journalist who worked for the then Dawasa newspaper and later joined the Divaina newspaper.

A prolific writer who wrote on several historical topics and other issues, he authored several books including Poda Karaliya, Wellasse Gini Pupura and Saradiel. The latest book he authored was Weera -Puran Appu which was launched on June 24.

He is a father of three sons and a daughter. His body now lies at No. 1085, Ihalagama Ragama. The funeral will take place at Ihalagama public Cemetery Ragama.
