Bharti Airtel crosses 75 million customers mark

Bharti Airtel Limited said that its customer base had crossed the 75 million customers mark making it the largest integrated telecom company in India.

The subscriber figure includes customers from all business units of the company - mobile services, telemedia services and enterprise services. With 72.07 million mobile customers as of end July 2008, Bharti Airtel further cemented in position as the fourth largest in-country mobile operator in the world.

The company had achieved this distinction as of end June 2008 and is well positioned to become the largest wireless operator in the world outside China.
