First postal vote result forecasts victory for UPFA

The first postal vote result of the Sabaragamuwa and North Central Provincial Council elections was released at 10.35pm yesterday. The United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) received 4213 votes while the United National Party (UNP) obtained 1810 votes in Ratnapura district.

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna received 290 votes.
