Walkers teams up with VTA for courses

MTD Walkers PLC, the holding company of Walker Sons & Company Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd has entered into an agreement with the Vocational Training Authority (VTA) of Sri Lanka, to conduct vocational training courses jointly with the Vocational Training Institute (VTI) in Orugodawatte, the company said.

According to the agreement, which is valid for a three-year period till late 2011 and further renewable, individuals enrolled for select courses at the VTI will follow practical sessions and undergo training at the MTD Walkers workshops. The relevant theory sessions of the courses will be held at the VTI.
