Laugfs Gas gets ISO certification

Laugfs Gas is a BOI approved company which commenced operations in 2001 October with the liberalisation of the Sri Lankan LPG industry. Since then LG has remained the only local player, competing against a global giant to gain a significant share of the market in a short period of 6 years. Having established a trusted name among all market segments, especially in the domestic LPG segment, LG is the fasted growing LPG player in the country. Company sales show a healthy continuous growth at a rate much faster than the average market growth rate, giving an ever increasing share of a fast expanding LPG market in Sri Lanka. Laugfs Gas (Pvt) Ltd caters to bulk LPG needs of industrial users as well supplied through its own modern fleet of road tankers.

The company has been instrumental in providing economic freedom to the local consumer, through their continuous efforts to bring about a level playing field in the LPG market is equipped with a state of the art LPG storage and filling facility and its dealer network has seen as exponential growth since its inception and the dealer network has earned a high reputation in health, safety and environment aspects.

"Laugfs Gas Point" which is the identity of the dealer locations provide not only domestic cylinders in all sizes but also many other gas related accessories such as cookers, regulators, hoses, Lanterns, BBQ and Hose clips.

During the last 3 years LG has won many accolades at The National Safety Awards, Industrial Safety Awards and National Productivity Awards. LG has now added yet another feather to their collection of internationally renowned awards by being awarded with the ISO (International Organisation for Standardization) 9001/2000 certification by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) thus becoming the 1st LPG company in Sri Lanka to receive this prestigious certification.
