Defence website turns popular

Among the large number of websites in the country the Defence Ministry website www.defence.lk has become the most sought after website with about a million people entering it daily, especially to learn the details of the victories of the Armed Forces in their humanitarian operations in the North, the Centre for National Security said in a press release. On the day the Armed Forces captured the LTTE stronghold Kilinochchi the website was visited by about 13 million people here and abroad, showing clearly that the victories were valued by a massive number of people, the release said.
