ASUS Eee Box launched

EPSI Computers, authorised distributor in Sri Lanka for ASUS announced the launch of the world's greenest, quietest and the most cost effective desktop PC in. The ASUS Eee Box which measures only 1L in size consumes 90 per cent less power than normal desktop PCs and is one of the quietest desktop PC with only 26 decibels sound emission. This revolutionary product is targeted at the Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) Home Users segments and the educational sector.

Sankha Jayaratne, Group Product Manager, EPSI stated that "With the ever increasing concern over global warming and the looming threat to the environment, ASUS has taken multiple initiatives in manufacturing green, eco-friendly products.

These initiatives are part of our social and environmental responsibilities as well as part of ASUS' strategic goal to tap the potential that `Green Industry' has in future. Commenting further he said, that ASUS' substantial investments in the R&D for green technology ensures a continuous roll out of products manufactured from environment-friendly materials, consuming much less power and conforming to stringent RoHS and WEEE standards."
