Conference on Islam and Pluralism

The Canadian High Commission in Sri Lanka and the National Peace Council of Sri Lanka are jointly hosting a national conference on Islam and Pluralism, at the BMICH today.

Giles Norman, Acting High Commissioner of Canada, will be the chief guest.

Politicians, heads of foreign missions, representatives of international organisations and leaders of civil societies will take part in the event. The event will commence at 9.00 a.m.

Renowned speaker Dr. M. A. M. Shukri and Movlavi Abdullah Mahmood Alim. President of All Ceylon Muslim Theologians Council, Puttalam district and Principal of Casimiyya Arabic College, Puttalam will deliver speeches.
