Air Force in two good wins over Havelocks and CH

Air Force SC beat Havelocks SC 14-0, while getting the better of CH & FC 17-12, as Havelocks SC saw off CR & FC 17-5 respectively, in the only three big upsets, on day one of the inaugural Western Province Rugby Football Union (WPRFU), conducted Inter-Club Super Tens, begun at Longden Place, (CR & FC grounds) yesterday.

Following yesterday's performance, Air Force SC along with Havies were fancied to make an impression, during the Cup quarter finals due to start this morning, but CR and CH despite failing to make an impact on the first day, cannot be written off, as they could be a concerned lot at the finish.

A total of 19 teams are competing for honours in the five segments of Cup, Plate, Bowl, Shield and Saucer, with the tournament sponsored by Asian Alliance Insurance.
