Trinity and Musaeus swimming champions

SWIMMING: Trinity College and Musaeus College swimming gave yet another time performances to become boys and girls overall champions respectively at the Junior National Short Course Swimming Championships conducted by the SLASU Interim Committee held at the D.S. Senanayake College Pool yesterday.

Trinity swimmers collected 167 points to take the top spot in the boys followed with Ananda College in second place with 136 points. St. Joseph's College third with 128 points and Royal placed fourth with 102 points.

In the girls Musaeus College headed the top position with 200 points, Asian International School second with 91 points, Visakha Vidyalaya third with 86 points and Mahamaya College, Kandy fourth with 83 points.

Sachin Sumanajeewa of St. Joseph's College and Ayesha Jayawardena of Mahamaya College were selected the best performers in the boys and girls section respectively.

Meanwhile SLASU will hold the Senior National Short Course Swimming Championship from April 8 to 11 at Hillwood College Pool at Kandy. All leading swimmers will compete at the three day meet.
