Cheap fish aplenty

Fish will be available at regional centres of the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation (CFC) during the New Year season. The CFC has made elaborate arrangements to provide adequate stocks to meet the customer demand at regional level.

Commenting on the scarcity of fish in the market during these season due to the prevailing weather condition CFC chairman Munidasa Premachandra said, the Corporation has engaged a mobile fleet to meet the demand during festive season.

Fish will be sold to customers at concessionary prices through the regional and mobile stalls of the CFC. This special program launched last week is a success, the chairman said.
