CMC's new special commissioner

Governor of the Western Province Alavi Mowlana has appointed, Municipal Commissioner Badrani Jayawardane as the Special Commissioner of the Colombo Municipal Council in addition to her duties. She also continues as the Municipal Commissioner.

H. Sumanapala remains the Local Government Commissioner.

Governor Alavi Mowlana said that Sumanapala had requested to resign from the post of the special commissioner.

H. Sumanapala, denied it and said that the governor has removed him from the post of Special Commissioner.
