Hospital gets Endoscopy unit
The Bamunu Arachchi Foundation donated a brand new state-of-the-art
video endoscopy unit at a cost of Rs. 3.5 mln. The equipment was funded
by a group of donors while Sampath Bank fully sponsored the cost of a
new Neonatal Ventilator costing Rs. 2.2 mln which was also donated on
the 61st death anniversary of B.A. Semaneris Appuhamy which was on April
9. Health is wealth and keeping with this saying the Chairman of BAM
Holdings B.A. Mahipala handed over the phase one stage of the Homagama
Hospital built at a cost of Rs. 100 mln on February 16, 2009.
It is the 61st anniversary of the original hospital opening which was
built by late B.A. Semaneris Appuhamy, father of B.A. Mahipala. Late
Semaneris Appuhamy not only built the hospital but also donated the land
on which the hospital was built.
