Cerebral patient needs help

S. Douglas Fernando, of 45/5, M. J. C. Mawatha, Horethuduwa, Moratuwa is suffering from Cerebral aneurysm of the brain. An urgent surgery is recommended by Consultant Radiologist Dr. Nihal Wijewardana of the National Hospital, Colombo and accordingly a sum of Rs. 9 lakhs (nine hundred thousand) is required.

Fernando who does not have a permanent job or other source of income, he appeals to the general public for help. A sum of Rs. 300,000 has been approved by the President's Fund and Mr. Fernando's current employer has agreed to pay Rs. 100,000, which leaves a balance of Rs. 5 lakhs required for the surgical procedure.

Appeal for B+ve Kidney

Sister Fazloon Mohothar of No. 169, Delugala, Malwana, is suffering from end stage Kidney failure. She is on regular haemodialysis for survival, awaiting early Kidney transplant.

Fazloon's husband M. F. Mohothar appeal to a kidney donor with `B positive' blood group, and also assistance to meet the cost of surgery and related medical expenses.
