Hameedia launches `Groom’ studio, total solution studio for groom

At present the key word in the business world is recession but we are moving ahead with innovation said the Managing Director of Hameedia’s Fouzul Hameed at the opening of the first ever Groom Studio.

It is the first ever total solution studio for the groom not only in Sri Lanka but in the region. He said that the bride is the centre of attraction but the groom is not where he should be, he also should get equal attention as it is his big day too.

Therefore we came up with this idea of total solution from design to dressing under one roof.

Conveniently located at Wellawatta where one floor of over 2000 square feet is dedicated to grooms while an additional 4000 sq feet is devoted for formal suits.

Hameed said that 2009 will be an exciting year for Hameedias as they have already upgraded the plants and factories and brought down an Italian consultant to upgrade clothing.

He said: that we are in the process of building a great brand of clothing,a luxury brand of clothing.

CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Clive Hasewell the Chief Guest said that this is the appropriate time to invest so that when good times come the company can reap the benefits.

Hameedia Managing Director Fouzul Hameed said that around 90 per cent of Sri Lankan bridegrooms were unfortunately a sadly neglected species in comparison to their brides. “Tradition has it that a great deal of attention is paid to brides months ahead of the wedding, whereas the groom is almost taken for granted. It was primarily with this in mind that `The Grooms’ Studio’ was conceived and then created.”

A prospective bridegroom can avail himself of the specialised consultancy services of Fouzul Hameed and his experienced Grooming Team at “The Groom’s Studio’ with regard to every facet of a man’s grooming requirements.

He will be advised on all his clothing needs from head to toe-from which kind of suit to choose, to how to match his accessories etc with special emphasis on individual tastes and preferences.

This also includes the groom’s entire retinue, to complete the total picture.

Creating a Sri Lankan first, the Grooms’ Studio is parallely geared to creating custom-made clothes for the groom, if he wishes to harmonise with the bride’s colour schemes.

A special feature here is that shirts, ties and socks can be custom-made so as to match with the bridal retinue and thus create a perfect picture on that special day.

“Being a bridegroom doesn’t only involve dressing well and looking good. It also involves deportment and the total look. The experience at the Groom’s Studio thus does not stop at clothes alone but encompasses areas like hair and skin care, posture and manners etc since these too are vital components for the overall look.

In fact nothing is impossible. With our years of experience in men’s grooming, the Grooms Studio guarantees all bridegrooms a total look for a perfect experience”, Hameed said.
